Batik: materials and techniques

Fabric: I work on different kinds of silk, including mixed, synthetic, natural, and on a clap, of course. The hot batik loves cotton, a cold batik loves thin silks, but it not a rigid rule - I love to make experiments with dyes, with fabrics, and with combinations of various techniques painting. For previous creative period, there were dyes, which I prefer, “auxiliary” – to addition to them are dyes, which you wouldn't like to touch any more, so no matter what I do with them – the result is negative (I will not specify...). There is an obligatory rule - the type of dye should correspond to type of a fabric. If not to neglect it, the client or the buyer will never appear alone with a dirty cloth, to which expensive beautiful thing turns at the first washing, if the artist has neglected this rule. A “native” paint from “its” fabric, you will wash off with nothing. For this reason, very seldom, but I use acryl dyes, which are fixed by an iron - they give some rigidity of a fabric and it is necessary to wash the product very carefully, though it also not always guarantees a success.
The dyes, concerning a disperse, acid and direct class, fixed under pressure in an autoclave, enable to wash a finished article even in a washing machine, on modes from 60 degrees and below, by any washing-up liquid, including indicative experiments with a bleach maintain perfectly well – the white grows white and color remains the same. It is checked up by time, long terms of use of things and it is confirmed by many my clients, customers.
