| Reserve:
it is possible to buy finished article, they are on sale (in art interiors) both import and also “ours”. It is possible to make it under the old checked up recipe by yourself. The reserve that was boiled with own hand is good, because you can adjust fluidity, viscosity, color of structure, adjusting it under that tubule, which you are going to use. For a thin tubule, (diameter “spout” is meant) the reserve is necessary to be more fluid (liquid) – it works on a thin smooth cloth. A tubule with larger diameter demands more dense reserve and suits more dense and impressive fabric. For the beginner it is difficultly to define what exactly is necessary for it now. It can be found out, indefatigably practicing and trying every possible variants of a combination of tubules, contour structures and fabrics. There are also on sale counter paintings in tubes with a thin nozzle - they are not a reserve and are intended for dressing a ready picture. In a hot batik, the role of a reserve carries out the fused wax, paraffin or stearin (or the combination of it). In a classical hot batik is work on covering the necessary planes by hot wax structure, from light to dark, but sometimes it is necessary to work figure linearly. It is possible to make it with a thin brush, but the brush will be hopelessly spoiled, and a homogeneous line to lead is impossible, only dabs. There is a special tool for such work. It is small “scoop” with thin “spout”. The wax mix boils on a water bath, the hot structure is scooped and the necessary contours are led round. It is necessary to work quickly, precisely, accurately, or to declare the formed pools and drops a Display of Art style.
As techniques of batik are different only with what kind of a reserve it is used, people do not get tired to think out how to contrive and to force paint to carry out the given task.
In nodular techniques, people use a string, units, varying ways of settings and laying down a fabric. Working with airbrush, people apply stencils, mashing etc.
